Township Board and Commission Members

Board of Supervisors

Upper Salford Township is governed by a three-member Board of Supervisors.  Each Supervisor is elected to serve a six-year term.  

The Board of Supervisors meet the second Tuesday of every month at 7:30 p.m. in the Upper Salford Township Municipal Building located at 1441 Salford Station Road in Salford, Pennsylvania. Residents are encouraged to attend these meetings to keep abreast of all current activity in the Township. Residents are also given the opportunity to ask questions and discuss concerns they have with the Supervisors.

The Supervisors also meet with the Planning Commission on the first Tuesday of each month in a joint meeting that is utilized as a work session.  These meetings are also open to the public.

Planning Commission

The five members of the Planning Commission are appointed by the Board of Supervisors for a four-year term.  

The Planning Commission members meet the third Tuesday of every month at 7:30 p.m. in the Upper Salford Township Municipal Building located at 1441 Salford Station Road in Salford, Pennsylvania.

Submissions for review by the Planning Commission must be filed with the Township Secretary at least 14 business days prior to the meeting.

Zoning Hearing Board

The Zoning Hearing Board meets only when an application has been submitted for interpretation, special exception and/or variance of the Township Zoning Ordinance. When an application for a Zoning Hearing is filed, the property in question is posted and all residents within 500 feet of the property are notified in writing of the date and time of the hearing.

Park and Recreation Board

Members of the Park and Recreation Board meet the fourth Tuesday of every other month at 7:30 p.m. in the Upper Salford Township Municipal Building.  All interested residents are welcome to attend.  

During these meetings the Park Board discusses ways to enhance our parks and keep them safe for all to enjoy.
