"Concerts in the Park"
The Park and Recreation Board is pleased to announce the first concert in this years "Concerts in the Park" series, which will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. at the Upper Salford Park pavilion featuring "Acclaim!" which is a local band comprised of 11 members performing a wide range of music from traditional hymns to gospel to contemporary praise and worship. Information on future concerts will be forthcoming.
2010 Philadelphia Folk Festival
Upper Salford Township is the proud home of the Philadelphia Folk Festival. This year, the Festival celebrates its 49th Anniversary on August 19-22 on Old Pool Farm. Listen to featured acts such as Jeff Tweedy, Richard Thompson, Taj Mahal, and Chris Smither & the Motivators; camp from Thursday to Sunday; enjoy family programs; and revel in the ultimate stay-cation! Photography Nature Walk
Saturday, September 11, 2010 from 10 am to Noon. Come walk with a local experienced photographer who will demonstrate tips and tricks for outdoor flower and foliage photos. Click here for more information.

Veterans Benefits

Honoring Active Duty Military Residents
The Township would like to invite any family members, neighbors or friends to submit a framed 8 x 10 picture of any Upper Salford Township resident on active military duty to be displayed in the Township meeting room to commemorate those who help protect our freedom everyday. The picture should have the person's name, branch of service and contact phone number on the back and will be displayed until they are discharged from military duty.

Due to the discovery of e-coli and coliform found in random water samples taken throughout the township (conforming to DEP mandates required for the 537 Plan), we encourage all residents to have their water tested periodically to ensure the health and welfare of their families. Many problems can be rectified if treated properly. Most certified water testing agencies will be able to offer some solutions.
